"KERRY DORAN" - OIL PAINTING an OIL painting TITLED "SHAUKIWAN". This Bendigo born artist painted part-time under the direction of Kenneth Jack. In 1974 he set off to travel the world. Solo exhibitions took place in Victoria at the Balmoral Gallery in 1979 and the Bethany Gallery in 1985 and 1986. In 1981 Kerry also had a solo exhibition at the Heritage Gallery in Los Angeles and in 1995 at the Wagner Art Gallery in Sydney. His works are in many collections and enjoyed many commissions and awards. This OIL was painted in 1971 - 1972 as recorded on the rear exhibition card #117. SIGNED: K DORAN. Possibly one of his first works painted in Bendigo before travelling abroad.
